What SkillRelay is

SkillRelay is a hosted skill library for teams. Skills are reusable instruction documents in the open Agent Skills format (SKILL.md). The library is stored once and delivered to every AI tool a team uses. SkillRelay is at https://skillrelay.app.

Company set and packs

Skills live in the company set or in a pack. Company-set skills reach every member automatically. A pack is a named opt-in collection that renders as a single plugin: teammates add it once and receive every skill in it, including later additions. Packs are created from chat on first use. Each pack is owned by its creator, who reviews changes to it when approvals are enabled.

Supported tools

Claude (claude.ai) receives skills automatically through a Claude plugin marketplace synced by Anthropic's org plugin sync; changes reach every member in about 30 minutes. Claude Code installs the same plugin with two CLI commands. ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces import the library as a workspace plugin; ChatGPT Free and Plus users add it as a personal plugin in about a minute. Codex installs the library as a git-backed plugin marketplace with automatic upgrades. Cursor imports skills as a synced remote rule or discovers them in a checked-out repository. Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, and any MCP-capable tool read the library live through an MCP connector. Text-only tools use a Markdown export.

Editing

Skills are edited by describing the change to an AI assistant in a normal chat; SkillRelay exposes editing tools over MCP (an open standard) with per-person OAuth sign-in. No file editing, uploads, or Git are required to change a skill. Every write is validated and authorized server-side by the author's role.

Versioning and review

Every change is stored as a new immutable version with a named author. Any version can be restored with a one-sentence request in chat. Approval gates are optional and off by default; when enabled, changes to the company set wait for an admin's one-click review, and each pack is reviewed by its owner.

Roles

Workspaces have three roles: Admin, Editor, and Reader. New members join as Readers. Removing a member revokes their connector access immediately.

Setup

One admin completes setup once, in about five minutes. Teammates are invited by email and join with one click. A workspace can also be a team of one.

Storage and portability

Skills live in SkillRelay's database and render into a private GitHub repository containing a Claude plugin marketplace, an OpenAI (ChatGPT and Codex) plugin marketplace, and standard Agent Skills directories. SkillRelay hosts the repository by default; teams can use their own GitHub organization instead. The full library is exportable at any time as a ZIP or a Markdown document. Skill content is used only to serve the workspace.

Pricing

The Free plan includes up to 10 members and every feature. The Team plan is $29 per month per workspace and removes the member limit.

Requirements

Claude's automatic org-wide delivery requires a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, because it uses Anthropic's org plugin sync. ChatGPT workspace-wide installation requires ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu. All other delivery paths work on any plan.
